Strategic Partnerships
United Way Waterloo Region maintains strategic partnerships with three key
organizations that provide vital infrastructure and coordination across the non-profit
sector. These long-term partnerships have been formalized through annual
agreements and are supported with quarterly funding, reflecting our shared
commitment to building a stronger, more connected community.
Children & Youth Planning Table
As a member and strategic partner of the Children &
Youth Planning Table, United Way Waterloo Region
supports youth well-being through the Youth Impact
Project, which funds training and youth-led initiatives
and general operating funds. Together, we advance
shared goals to support children and families through
coordinated services, research, and community
action, ensuring every young person can thrive.
Immigration Partnership
United Way Waterloo Region is a proud supporter
of the Immigration Partnership, a community-wide
initiative that works to create a welcoming, inclusive
environment for immigrants and refugees. Our
collaboration helps ensure newcomers can access
supports, build connections, and contribute to the
social and economic vibrancy of our community.
Volunteer Waterloo Region
Through our partnership with Volunteer Waterloo
Region, United Way helps strengthen volunteerism
as a vital part of building a connected, caring
community. Together, we encourage individuals,
families, and workplaces to give their time and
talents where they’re needed most — helping local
organizations expand their reach and increase their
impact.
