Bringing people together to raise awareness and funds has always been at the
heart of United Way. Our annual events inspire volunteerism, spark community
investment, and support a network of local non-profits helping people across
Waterloo Region.

Trivia
Challenge brought local businesses
together for an evening of friendly
competition, community spirit, and
giving back. The event welcomed 25
teams and 130 participants, raising a
total revenue of just over $25,000 to
support critical social programs
across Waterloo Region.
Spirit Awards April 16, 2026
Hosted by local broadcaster Mike
Farwell, the evening put teams’
knowledge to the test while raising
vital funds to help address urgent
needs in our community.
The Spirit Awards are an annual
celebration recognizing individuals,
organizations, and partners who have
made outstanding contributions to our
community through their support of
United Way’s mission.
