United Way Waterloo Region is a
registered charity — governed by a local
board directors — that raises funds and
invests directly into our community.
Our work is made possible through
generous donations from individuals,
corporations, and foundations. Our
approach aims to tackle complex social
issues by uniting people, organizations,
and resources to address the many
causes and effects of poverty and
inequality.
We invest in key interconnected areas
that meet practical needs and address
barriers that stop our community from
thriving. We fund local, autonomous,
volunteer-based organizations to assess
community conditions, invest in focused
goals, and create long-term change.
United is the way we bring together
individuals and organizations to mobilize
resources across Waterloo Region to
understand community needs and
facilitate a network approach to solving
complex social issues.
